Brisket with ribs and Mac and cheese. The flavors were absolutely spot on and mouth watering. The service was great and suggested my meal choice 10 out 10 highly recommend.

The BEST barbecue in town. The ribs almost fell off the bone and the cobbler was to die for. Just expect to stand in line because it's THE place to eat. They have indoor and outdoor seating and it's sit after you order so no guarantees. But in the cool months, who cares. It is totally worth it.

Food was delicious. Especially the brisket, turkey, pulled pork and the loaded potatoes. Service was great. Even offered cold water as we stood in line. Waited in covered area at the picnic tables. Ambiance was ideal for our family.

Well deserved spot on the BBQ top 50. Pork ribs, one of the best we have ever had. Coleslaw and beans equally delicious. Menu has some things you don't often see when getting BBQ like 'Q topped Caesar salads and combo bowls. We opted for the brisket plate for two that included amazing corn tortillas, pico, jalapeño cheese sausage, shredded cheese, and three sides. Totally worth the $60 price tag. Best part about going here is the setup. Servers walk the line outside taking drink orders and passing out menus while you are waiting in line. Inside they are continuously cleaning, refilling drinks, and asking customers how everything is. What BBQ restaurant does that? None is the answer. Watching the kitchen staff work was great. We are in food ourselves so we really appreciate the well orchestrated way they were operating to get the food out quick. The guy in the window was crushing it. He walked by me and I let him know it. Every expo station needs a guy like that. Kudos to the cook in the back wearing a Blood Bros hat. Game recognizes game.

FYI: Be prepared to wait in a long line. On a Saturday, at opening time (11am), the line was already super long. It took almost 2 hours to get our food. We didn't know it would take that long but at some point, it was too late to quit. Obviously, there's some serious hype stemming from landing a #2 BBQ spot on Yelp's list but I noticed that it took them a while to get the food orders ready. There's definitely some room for improvement and they can move things along faster if they hustled a bit more with people's orders. That being said, they provided water and offered beer for sale to those waiting in the sweltering heat. At around 1pm, the line seemed shorter. You could try a slightly later arrival time but remember, there is always a chance of them selling out of something you want. Ultimately, they nailed almost everything. WINS: The pork ribs were FANTASTIC. Don't skip those. Tender and juicy and fatty. Delicious garlic sausage (extra juicy). Their BBQ sauce is super good. Awesome baked beans -- loved the spice. Great potato salad -- I really liked how "mushy" it was. Tasty apple cobbler although I wish there was more crust included. LOSS: Their brisket was disappointing. My fiancé and I agreed on this wholeheartedly. They offered both lean and fatty brisket. We ordered the fatty. It was slightly fatty on the edge but mostly lean and not particularly tender or juicy. It's hard to judge a place where you have to invest 2 hours to get your food. Tough to say whether any restaurant is worth waiting 2 hours for. But like I said, almost everything we sampled was delicious. However, they did fall short on my favorite BBQ item -- brisket -- so there's that.

The food was average for me. I didn't like the potatoe salad. I ordered the brisket and ribs of course.. However, the staff was excellent from the time I walked in to stand in line to front register to ordering. Everyone there was exceptional!. I went on a Wednesday and yes there was a line standing outside the restaurant at 12:30 pm.

Corkscrew BBQ landed #2 in Yelps top 100 BBQ spots in 2024! They deserve it. Everything they make is magic. Our favorite is the lean brisket. All of the meats are juicy and flavorful. The sides are amazing. Absolutely love the potato salad. The beans are awesome. You do have to get here early as they do sell out daily. The restaurant has a great vibe, and it's fun to hang out outside with your family and friends.

Let me preface by saying, no place has ever topped #truthbbq in service, value, or flavor! With that said... good bbq takes time and time it took! We stepped in line right at 11:30, and finally ordered at 12:40; they had already ran out of macncheese, which appeared to be the best side on the menu; disappointed 1.5 hrs into service and they're out... and there's only salad for a green vegetable option. As you'll see, I wanted to try all the meats and the pricing is definitely great for this choice. The ribs, chedder&jalepeno sausage were the best and followed by brisket & turkey. The pulled pork works but nothing to brag about. The potatoe salad works but, again, nothing to brag about either. As you'd expect of a Texas BBQ spot, it gives a relaxed vibe with a porch setting and plenty of covered outdoor seating. In all, what I'm saying is, I'm not certain how they earned #2 in the US and I wouldn't make a special trip for it but, would come here again.

The food was amazing. Decoration as well I think they can have better service on the weekend days.

Here we are visiting another Top 50 joint on the Texas Monthly Top 50! We arrived on 2/3/24 at about noon. The line was pretty deep and we about 90 minutes until we were able to order. And 45 minutes until we got our food. This could have been a 5 star review but this system along with some minor but avoidable customer service issues set it back a star. First off all, this system of waiting just to order and not getting your food made for you on the spot like nearly all other bbq joints in Texas just seems so out of place. Imagine having to wait this long just to order and then another 45 minutes til the food hits your table. Plus, I'm not sure if this was an isolated incident but their paper menu read so terribly confusing to me. I thought I ordered the 3 meat plate with brisket ribs and sausage. But when I finally went to the window to pick up my tray I noticed that the brisket was missing. I politely said excuse me but I also ordered brisket. A woman who was slicing meat checked my receipt and said "no you didn't!" in the most rude way. I got upset, honestly because I was hangry. I just repeated myself and said I ordered a 3 meat plate with brisket. She said "that's why we read the receipt back to you!" I'm like damn ok and was just taken aback. I stared at them, they didn't budge, I said back to them "Screw it, keep the brisket" and walked off. 5 minutes later a nice and apologetic employee brought me two slices of brisket on the house. We both apologized to each other that's when he explained to me that I in fact did not order the 3 meat plate. I ordered the rib plate with sausage which is why I didn't receive brisket. I have no idea how that happened but I'm glad it was resolved. I was still rattled from how that woman spoke to me though. Anyways time to review the food. The ribs were perfectly glazed but not saucey and they were big too! But the bone was what was big and there wasn't a lot of meat on those bones. But the flavor was spot on. Brisket was actually pretty spectacular. I'm glad brisket-gate got resolved! I actually felt like whatever they brought out to me was an apology in itself because it looked like a fresh cut of the slab. Super super moist packed with smoke flavor and not a lot of gristle. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was ok. It did the trick. The good ole mac and cheese was exactly that ... good ole. I'm sure other folks had a more pleasant experience than me and mine was a one off. If I ever find myself in Spring, I would more than likely return back to Corkscrew.
